The Walking Dead franchise, which is already a media juggernaut that dominates comics, TV shows, and even video games, will be extending its reach to VR next year. Skydance Interactive, the VR developers behind Archangel: Hellfire, announced The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners today at San Diego Comic-Con.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is set in New Orleans, a place not yet explored in the universe’s mythos. The game has players fighting to survive in the city, which has flooded and been overrun by Walkers. During the adventure, players will have to make vital decisions that determine whether they become a saint or sinner, hence the title. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is being developed alongside Skybound Entertainment, who also owns the rights to the franchise.

Outside of that information, details on The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners are currently scarce. That being said, the developers did release a piece of teaser art for the game, which features an axe with a fleur-de-lis on it covered in blood. You can check it out at the bottom of this article. The teaser art will also be shown off at the Harbor House Restaurant near San Diego Comic-Con between July 18 and July 21, and is set to be discussed during the Skybound Entertainment livestreams on July 19 and July 20.

You can check out the first teaser art for the VR game below. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners will release in 2019.
