Daemon X Machina’s First Nintendo Switch Gameplay Shows Sweet Armored Core-Like Action

Today, during Nintendo’s Treehouse Live coverage, from E3 2018, the house of Mario and Zelda showcased the first gameplay of the best game (and I’ll fight you over this) they introduced at the show: Daemon X Machina.

We get to see a ton mecha battle action that shows why this game can be considered a spiritual successor to Armored Core, but we also catch a glimpse of the character creation and mecha (or “Arsenal” as the robots are named) customization.

The game looks extremely sweet, which isn’t surprising considering who designed it. At the helm is Armored Core 2 and 3 Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda,  joined by No More Heroes and Fire Emblem character designer Yusuke Kozaki. Yet, the biggest name is Shoji Kawamori, who didn’t only work on the Armored Core series but also designed hundreds of mecha that charmed a generation from Macross onward.

If you want to see what I mean with your own eyes, you can check out the footage below.

If you want to see more, you can check out the announcement trailer, and the first screenshots.

The game will come exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
