If you live in the Old Continent and want to subscribe to PlayStation Plus on the cheap, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe had a timely announcement today via press release.
Starting today and until March 23rd (at 11:00 CET), a twelve-month subscription to Sony’s premium online service will be sold at a 25% discount for European customers.
This means that you’ll pay only £37.49 instead of £49.99 if you’re in the United Kingdom, or €44.99 instead of €59.99 if you’re in the rest of Europe. At the moment of this writing, there is no mention of any similar promotion for North America.
Interestingly, this promotion applies whether you’re an existing subscriber or not.
I mentioned that this promotion is timely as it comes very conveniently just before what’s probably the best month ever in terms of complimentary games provided by the service, with Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank coming for PS4 on March 6th. If you hurry, you’re also still in time to grab Knack and RIME from the February batch.
According to the latest figures, PlayStation Plus has 31.5 million paying subscribers.
We also recently learned that support for PS3 and PS Vita games will be discontinued on March 8th, 2019.
