SteamWorld Dig 2 released for PC, PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch last year to great reviews. It is a really good game, but the absence of a 3DS version was disappointing as that’s where SteamWorld Dig found its initial success. Fortunately, developer Image & Form Games did not forget about the platform and recently announced that they would be bringing SteamWorld Dig 2 to the platform on February 22.

Now, just a day before release, the developers have released a launch trailer for the 3DS version of the game. It gives a small glimpse at various parts of the game and also serves as an accolades trailer of sorts.

The 3DS version of SteamWorld Dig 2 will cost $19.99 but still comes with all of the same content as the other versions of the game. Image & Form also claims that the game has been optimized for 3DS really well, and will run at 60fps even when 3D is turned on. The game doesn’t explicitly have any advantages when played on the New 3DS, but the extra buttons could be used in key remapping

If you just want to pick up one of the other versions of SteamWorld Dig 2, you should also know that the game will be receiving a physical release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch this Spring. Check out DualShockers’ review of the game in order to see our thoughts on it.
