Bulgarian developer Haemimont Games first released its gothic-fantasy action-RPG Victor Vran on PC in February 2015 via Early Access. The game was out of Early Access by that July and went on to receive two paid DLC packs: Motörhead: Through the Ages and Fractured Worlds. Last year, Wired Productions partnered with the developers to release Victor Vran: Overkill Edition, which includes the base game and all its DLC, on PS4 and Xbox One. Today, they announced that the Nintendo Switch will be added to that lineup later this year.
There aren’t any notable ARPG games like Victor Vran on Nintendo Switch, so Memimont Games and Wired Production may be tapping into an untapped market on the highly successful console/handheld hybrid. Victor Vran: Overkill Edition will release on Nintendo Switch both digitally and physically this Summer, and will cost players $39.99.
Leo Zullo, Managing Director at publisher Wired Productions, commented on bringing Victor Vran: Overkill Edition to Nintendo Switch:
“Victor Vran: Overkill Edition will be the first game of its kind to arrive on the Nintendo Switch. A masterpiece both technically and in its gameplay, Haemimont Games’ classic RPG will be a must-have addition for Switch owners around the world.”
CEO at Haemimont Games Gabriel Dobrev discussed the long journey of the game’s development, culminating with the Switch release:
“Victor Vran has taken us on an incredible journey. From working with Motörhead to seeing so many players love the game as we have has been a real privilege – we’re excited for Victor’s next strides onto the Switch platform.”
Victor Vran: Overkill Edition for Nintendo Switch isn’t the only Haemimont Games title releasing this year, as it was recently announced that Surviving Mars will be coming out in March. Meanwhile, Wired Productions will also be releasing The Town of Light: Deluxe Editon on Switch.
