Spider-Man Art Director Talks Gameplay; Box Art “Very Close” to Being Finalized

Today Marvel’s Spider-Man Art Director Jacinda Chew had a couple interesting details to share about the upcoming game by Insomniac Games.

First of all, we hear about the gameplay, and we learn that it’s possible to swan dive towards the street and swing back up at the very last second. Chew gets a nice rollercoaster-like stomach drop thrill out of it.

Of course, a question arises: what happens if you don’t swing back up? Looks like you don’t just go “splat.” You just land. Yet, landing is for chumps.

Another very interesting tease is about the box art. Apparently it’s “very close” to being finalized, and Chew believes that it’s going to pop on store shelves very nicely. Considering just how good the art of the game is, I can’t wait to see what will be on the cover.

If you want to learn more about Marvel’s Spider-Man, you can also enjoy a few comments from the development team, a hint that the game might be fairly long a recent video released at PlayStation Experience, a rather sizable amount of details shared by Insomniac a couple of months ago, a recent batch of screenshots in 4K resolution, and the latest story trailer.

The game will release in 2018 exclusively for PS4.
