Microsoft is sending out beta invites to those who took part in the technical alpha of Sea of Thieves, and as part of the mail blast there is an interesting infographic that provides a lot of statistical information on how the first test went.

First of all, we learn that the technical alpha was enjoyed by 356,192 users, while the crown for the deadliest pirate belongs to Capta1n Cr0ss, who accrued 2033 kills. 583,578 tankards of grog were quaffed, while 1.84 million gold pieces were earned within 669,637 chests sold.

Summing up all the time spent by all players, we get a cumulative 54,787 days played. People proved rather combative while sailing, as 3,836,103 cannonballs were fired.

Having tried the alpha, I found it a whole lot of fun, and honestly, I can’t wait to try out the beta when it starts on January 24th.
