Black Desert Online’s Gameplay Trailer Shows the Lahn’s Awakening, and it Looks Crazy

News, Originals, PC, PS4, Xbox One

The good folks at Pearl Abyss have been releasing new classes for Black Desert Online at a nearly mindboggling pace, and one of the most charming elements is just how well animated they are.

The latest class introduced (in Korea) back in December, the Lahn, is no exception, and comes with some absolutely fantastic wuxia-style moves. Just when I thought they couldn’t better, well… They did.

Pearl Abyss just released a new trailer featuring the awakening weapon for the Lahn. The only way I can define it is “crazy.” This kind of combat animation is absolutely top-notch in the MMORPG market, and it brings even a lot of AAA single player games straight back to school.

Do keep in mind that the update that will bring this into the western servers is still a few months away since there will necessarily be a time gap for localization. The game is also soon getting a new region named Dreegan, that will bring some much-needed party play thanks to its population of challenging dragons.

If you don’t believe me, just check out the trailer below. You can also see how it performs in raw gameplay thanks to the second video by YouTube user 키모 KIMO.

Black Desert Online is currently available on PC, and expanding to new platforms, with a mobile version in Korea, and an Xbox One version coming this year with Xbox One X support. A PS4 version was also teased a while ago, but Pearl Abyss has since been completely silent about it, probably due to the marketing deal with Microsoft.
