Dragon’s Crown Pro Screenshot Comparison Shows PS4 Pro (4K) vs PS3 (1080p) Difference

Dragon’s Crown is one of the most underappreciated gems of the last generation, but the upcoming Dragon’s Crown Pro offers just a visual upgrade and the ability to play the title on PS4 and PS4 Pro.

This means that, unless you’re determined to play the game on PS4, the extent of the visual upgrade is pretty much the deciding factor on whether it’s worth upgrading to the Pro version if you already have the original.

Vanillaware and Atlus decided to help out, providing a series of detail screenshots showcasing exactly what you need to know, and comparing the definition of the PS3 version in 1080p with the game running in 4K on PS4 Pro.

The difference is certainly visible, but whether it’s worth a new purchase, it’s something only you can decide by checking out the gallery below. The first screenshot of each pair is the PS3 version, followed by the 4K render on PS4 Pro.

If you want to see more, you can also enjoy a recent trailer, the first gameplay videos and the first screenshots, and the latest gallery. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, you can also read my original review of the PS3 version from 2013.

Dragon’s Crown Pro will release in Japan on February 8th, 2018 exclusively for PS4. At the moment, no western release has been announced, so we have to wait and see whether it’ll come to North America and Europe or not.
